Inside Project Manager

Overview:
The Inside Project Manager (IPM) is responsible for assisting the Sales, Design and Production departments in the areas of estimating, design review, material ordering, scheduling & subcontractor management.

In addition, the IPM assists in the approval of invoices and the preparation of Change Orders. He/She is to interface with clients, architects, designers, city officials, consultants, structural engineers, sub contractors and material suppliers.

The employee is expected to participate in the development of the operating system of the organization into the top of its class and to aid the organization in performing at the highest level of service and quality.

Project Management:

• Assist Production Department with Estimating, Material Ordering & Scheduling
• Assist Production Department with establishing and monitoring Budgets and approving invoices
• Ensure that the Company is purchasing materials and services at the most competitive market rates
• Order and track all material orders to ensure fulfillment of Project Schedules
• Assist Production department in troubleshooting design and production issues
• Prepare and conduct job autopsies to evaluate Project Success

Estimating:

• Assist General Manager in preparing Estimates for new work
• Assist Production department in preparing Estimates for ongoing work
• Assist Design Department in preparing preliminary budgets
• Prepare Change Orders for Client approval prior to work commencing
• Research and suggest methods to improve efficiency and accuracy of Estimating
• Maintain and monitor cost databases for Estimating purposes
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure a large pool of reliable resources
• Coordinate project walkthroughs with subs and suppliers

Sales & Marketing:

• Interact with Clients as required for Estimating, Design and Project Management issues
• Promote Company services and quality of work with new and existing clients
• Display professionalism and promote company image at every opportunity with Clients and Company Associates
